Thank you for being part of the Saint Paul & Minnesota Foundations. The Foundations' "Websites" encompass spmcf.org; affiliate websites frbigelow.org and mardag.org; and fundaccess.spmcf.org. We value your relationship with us. This privacy policy (or “Policy”) describes how we obtain and use information collected and made available to us through your use of our Websites, including Personal Information.

Changes To Our Privacy Policy

This Policy was last revised in 2018. It describes the current policies and practices of the Foundations and their anchor affiliates with regard to the information we collect from visitors to these Websites. This Policy may be supplemented or amended from time to time by “privacy notices” posted on our Websites. You should periodically review the Policy for any such supplements or amendments.

How We Define Personal Information

"Personal Information" is information about an identified or identifiable individual using our Websites. Your Personal Information may include your name, address and email address.

What Information We Collect Through Our Websites

We collect Personal Information provided by you when you visit our Websites, such as the information you fill out to subscribe to a newsletter or sign up for an event. You voluntarily and knowingly provide this information to us. This information is not shared, except to the extent necessary to provide the services you request or to perform the services you have requested or agreed to and as described in this Policy.

In addition, we have access to, and may collect, the following information relating to the following areas.

  • IP address, which is an identifier assigned to your computer when you access the internet, and mobile device ID.  The IP address may be the same or different each time you connect to the internet, depending on how you connect to the Internet, but this information does not identify you personally, unless you have provided us with Personal Information through an account you have created.  We may also collect such other non-Personal Information, such as your internet service provider, the web browser used to visit the Websites (and available web browser settings), the time the Websites are visited, which web pages you visited on the Websites, and other anonymous Website usage data.

Links To Affiliates And Other Websites

The Saint Paul & Minnesota Foundations own and/or operate several other websites. Those sites also may contain links to websites that the Foundations do not operate.

This Policy applies only to the Foundations and our two anchor affiliates: F. R. Bigelow Foundation and Mardag Foundation.

This Policy does not apply to other websites owned and operated by the Foundations.

Links to other third-party websites are provided as a service and do not imply endorsement of the activities of these websites nor any association with their operators. The Foundations do not control these websites and is not responsible for their data practices. Please review each Policy for any third-party providers individually.

Information About Minors

Our Website is not intended for children under 13 years of age.  No one under age 13 may provide any information to or on the Website.  We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.  If you are under 13, do not use or provide any information on this Website or on or through any of its features/register on the Website, or provide any information about yourself to us, including your name, address, telephone number, email address.  If we learn we have collected or received personal information from a child under 13 without verification of parental consent, we will delete that information.  If you believe we might have any information from or about a child under 13, please contact us at info@spmcf.org.

Your California Privacy Rights

California Civil Code Section § 1798.83 permits users of our Website that are California residents to request certain information regarding our disclosure of personal information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes.  To make such a request, please send an email at info@spmcf.org.

Data Security

We have implemented measures designed to secure your information from accidental loss and from unauthorized access, use, alteration, and disclosure.  The safety and security of your information also depends on you.  Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure.  Although we do our best to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee the security of your personal information transmitted to our Website.  Any transmission of personal information is at your own risk.  We are not responsible for circumvention of any privacy settings or security measures contained on the Website. 

Do Not Track Signals

Certain browsers have the capability of selecting a do not track setting in the security options settings page.  Currently we do not have the ability to respond to these signals.
